To commemorate the return of nation Calendar to TVNZ1, Alex Casey tracks down the show’s biggest canine fan.
This Sunday evening at seven o’clock, Suki will set you back the tv screen and need that her parents turn on TVNZ1 so she can hear her theme that is favourite track. She’ll then sit, nose up against the display screen, to look at the return of her favourite programme nation Calendar. She’ll be hoping that we now have pigs, maybe some farm dogs, but won’t be as enthusiastic about watching bees. Suki is just a 12 yr old edge collie, and she’s enjoyed Country Calendar her whole life that is doggone.
“She started initially to get enthusiastic about tv whenever she ended up being only a puppy, ” Suki’s owner and Greytown resident Maura Marron claims. “During the soccer globe cup we’d be getting out of bed in the middle of the evening to look at games. There’d be meals and clapping and a lot of sound, therefore I think she linked TV with having a little bit of party. ” Even with brand New Zealand had been booted through the globe glass, Suki continued to get up for it to be turned on at 2am and run to the TV, whining.
From the time then, Suki’s appetite for screentime was insatiable. “After the whole world glass she got really into viewing such a thing with animals, ” Marron remembers. (more…)
